Simulation of absorptivity, reflectivity and transmissivity of a Ag nanowire mesh on glass

We consider a random mesh of Ag nanowire on glass. Such a film can be used as a transparent conductive layer in a thin-film PV. Goal of the simulation is to study scattering behavior and parasitic absorption in such a mesh.

Software Used

REMS is a frequency domain wave optics simulator. REMS solves Maxwell equations in frequency domain for both space and time variables. REMS is a heavily multi-threaded, stable and efficient implementation various formulations of Rigorous Coupled Wave Analysis (RCWA), Fourier Modal Method (FMM), and the S-matrix algorithm.

For more details see REMS .
